A second innings, in whichever direction you choose
Second Innings exists because a woman's life did not end when her marriage did. It has three streams, and you may take one, two or all three — or only ever the first.
Stream 1 — Career restart
Returning to work after years away, moving from daily wage to a salary, or starting something of your own. Skills assessment, refresher training, a CV, interview practice, and an employer who has been told your circumstances and has agreed to them.
Stream 2 — Personal growth
Financial literacy, digital skills, spoken English and confidence, knowing your legal rights, public speaking, and leadership within the Forum itself. Many of our own centre leads came through this stream.
Stream 3 — Companionship and remarriage
For women who wish, in their own time and on their own terms, to consider marriage again. There is no pressure here, no timeline, and no cost. Nobody will suggest this to you. You come to it or you do not.
How we keep Stream 3 safe
This is the most sensitive service the Forum offers, and it's built with that in mind. None of what follows is negotiable.
Opt-in only, and invisible until then. It's never advertised to you, shown in your dashboard, or implied by any other service.
Three steps before you may opt in: an active livelihood pathway already in progress, a completed rights orientation with Vakilsaheeba, and a conversation with a counsellor.
Every match is verified — government ID, marital status, employment, address and a self-declaration of any criminal proceeding — before he can see any profile.
You control visibility. Your photograph, name, locality and contact details are never shown by default. Each is released by you, to one named party, one at a time, and withdrawable instantly.
All first contact is mediated by a Second Innings coordinator, through the platform. Direct numbers are exchanged only when you instruct it, in writing.
Any dowry demand ends the matter permanently and is reported. Asking for money, gold or property from you is an offence, and we treat it as one.
First meetings happen at a Hope Haven centre or a public place, with a coordinator present if you wish, and a safety check-in call afterwards, every time.
No fee, from anyone — not from you, not from the prospective match, ever.
One tap withdraws your profile and erases it from every prospective party's view within the hour — no explanation required, no effect on any other service.
