How to browse safely and clear your history
If you're worried someone else might check this phone, here's how to remove the trace of having visited this site. Remember: the red Quick exit button at the top of every page (or the Esc key on a computer) leaves instantly, any time.
On an Android phone (Chrome)
- Open Chrome and tap the three dots (top right)
- Tap History, then Clear browsing data
- Choose a time range, and select "Browsing history"
- Tap Clear data
Tip: Chrome's "Incognito" tab (also in that same three-dot menu) never saves history in the first place.
On an iPhone (Safari)
- Open Settings, then scroll to and tap Safari
- Tap Clear History and Website Data
- Confirm when asked
Tip: a Private Browsing tab in Safari (tap the tabs icon, then "Private") doesn't save history either.
Clearing history removes the record from this device, but if someone has access to your phone bill, a family sharing plan, or has installed monitoring software, these steps may not be enough. If that's your situation, calling 7868878688 from a safer phone, or visiting a Hope Haven centre in person, may be the better option.
